Please note that ahead of the peak salmon migration, and in effort to continue to keep our watershed safe, the Ganaraska Region Conservation Authority will be closing Ganaraska Millennium, Port Hope, Sylvan Glen and Thurne Parks Conservation Areas. These conservation areas will be closed August 28th through to October 1st.
Sylvan Glen Conservation Area
This area offers a great place to relax. The 4.65 acre (1.9 ha) property, which is located in the Municipality of Port Hope (formerly Hope Township), was acquired on December 3, 1956. You can picnic by the creek or try your luck at fishing. A gauging station is located at this site to help warn of high water levels before they reach Port Hope.
While visiting, please respect neighbouring private properties and stay on GRCA Conservation Area land.
Please report any illegal dumping: 1-866-293-8379
