Board of Directors
The Ganaraska Region Conservation Authority is managed by the Board of Directors that is made up of Municipal Councillors and Mayors from our member Municipalities. The current Administrative By-Laws can be found here. The Board is made up of 100% elected council and follows Section 2 (2) of the Conservation Authorities Act as specified here. These by-laws are normally reviewed on a yearly basis. Please see below for a list of members and meeting agendas and minutes.
Source Protection Authority Board (SPA)
The Ganaraska Region Conservation Authority is one of the few authorities in Ontario that has the same board to manage both the Conservation Authority and the Source Protection Authority. Under the Clean Water Act, 2006 the Ganaraska Region Source Protection Authority guides the work taking place to protect sources of municipal drinking water in the Ganaraska Region Source Protection Area. Ganaraska Forest Recreational Users Committee (RUC)
The Ganaraska Region Conservation Authority has the Ganaraska Forest Recreational Users Committee (RUC) whose purpose is to is to carry out work and provide advice to the Board of Directors on the development of standards and guidelines for each recreational use occurring in the Ganaraska Forest, user conflicts within the Forest, user conflicts with landowners of property abutting the Forest, and suggest new regulations or policies that pertain to recreational use.
