[COBOURG, ON, August 18, 2010]

Go Green Together has arranged a rain barrel truckload sale. The sale is literally “truckload” in that on Saturday, August 28 between 11am and 1pm there will be a transport truck full of rain barrels in the parking lot next to Go Green Together at 207A Division Street, Cobourg.

Go Green Together has partnered with RainBarrel.ca to offer these rain barrels at $55.00 each - almost half the price of most rain barrels on the market.  Cobourg residents will receive an additional $10.00 rebate courtesy of Ganaraska Region Conservation Authority.

Barrels must be pre-ordered online or at the Go Green Together office by Aug. 26.

The sale event is part of Go Green Together’s “Bring Back the Barrel” campaign. The “Bring Back the Barrel” campaign is a campaign to raise awareness in Northumberland County about the environmental benefits of using a rain barrel to collect rainwater. Using rainwater for gardening and other outdoor uses helps conserve local water supplies, and for those using municipal water, helps keep water bills low.

“Bring Back the Barrel” refers to the once-widespread use of rain barrels in Northumberland County. Go Green Together encourages Northumberlanders to make them a common sight once again.
The sale takes place Saturday, August 28th, between 11am and 1pm.

Barrels must be pre-ordered either at the Go Green Together office or online, at www.rainbarrel.ca/cobourg.
