If you have a well and a stream on you property, this workshop is for you! On Saturday, November 14th, 2009 the Caring for the Moraine Project and the Ganaraska Region Conservation Authority will host a FREE “Rural Water Stewardship” workshop for landowners from 9:00am until 12:00pm at the Ganaraska Forest Centre in Northumberland County.

“Specialists from the Well Aware and Community Stream Steward programs will be on hand to offer suggestions and answer questions about how to care for your well, septic system, and wetlands” states Sasha Lambrinos with the Caring for the Moraine Project. She adds that there will be discussions about local financial incentive programs that help landowners pay for projects which improve water quality.

All participants will receive a FREE copy of the Rural Landowner Stewardship Guide which is a self assessment tool for planning stewardship activities on your property.

To register for this FREE workshop please contact Sasha Lambrinos at (905) 376-4461 or email sasha@eagle.ca.  Reservations will be taken on a first-come, first-served basis as space is limited.
