Richardson's Lookout

Richardson’s Lookout is located west of Garden Hill in the Municipality of Port Hope (formerly Hope Township). This 3.02-acre (1.2 ha) property was acquired on December 31, 1962. A platform provides a panoramic view of the headwaters of the Ganaraska River and the Ganaraska Forest.

How to get there:

• Take Highway 401.
• Exit at Welcome.
• Travel north to County Road 10 and follow this to Ganaraska Road 9.
• Go west 3 km to the north side of Dean’s Hill.

• Take Highway 401.
• Exit at Highway 115/35.
• Travel 16 km to Kirby.
• Turn right at Kirby onto Ganaraska Road 9.
• Travel east 10 km to Richardson’s Lookout on north side of Dean’s Hill.
