Day Trips

Looking for an introduction lesson or culminating activity to your Science, Social Studies, Geography or Physical Education class?

A visit to the Ganaraska Forest Centre can consist of either a half day or full day visit with accommodation up to a maximum of 64 students per day. A full day visit with 64 students would include two certified outdoor education teachers with extensive knowledge and practical training in their field, a morning and afternoon program selection chosen by the visiting teacher and a short lunch break with a variety of sports equipment provided for your use.

The Ganaraska Forest Centre boasts over 25 different environmental education programs to suit all grades and subjects. Our programs are designed to meet and exceed specific curriculum expectations through innovative and hands-on lessons, activities and games. Programs can also be easily modified to meet the individual needs and expectations of the visiting teacher. Here is a complete list of our education programs.
